Beaufort, S.C. — The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 15-year-old from Burton after his family reported him missing Thursday.
Zyon Zaydin Townsend was last seen late Wednesday evening, Oct. 7, at the family’s residence on Westgate Circle in Burton. Relatives said they had not heard from him since that night when they contacted deputies on Oct. 8.
Townsend is described as about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black sweatpants, a black hat and slippers, and carrying a Walmart bag.
Anyone with information about Townsend’s whereabouts is asked to call the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency dispatch line at 843-524-2777.
Deputies released the description Friday morning as the search continued and urged residents who may have seen the teen to contact the agency rather than approach him themselves.
