Savannah to Host Annual Family Feast Fundraiser for Forsyth Farmers’ Market

The Forsyth Farmers’ Market will hold its annual Family Feast Fundraiser on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Old Dairy Farm, located at 2500 Tennessee Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m. This family-friendly event aims to support the nonprofit organization’s community outreach programs, expanding access to fresh food and promoting local farmers.

The upcoming feast celebrates Savannah’s rich culinary history, providing attendees with a wide array of food options, including BBQ, sides, vegetarian and vegan choices, desserts, and beverages. In addition to the delicious food, guests will enjoy live entertainment and various activities geared toward children. They are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs for a comfortable dining experience.

Tickets for the Family Feast are now available for purchase at givebutter.com/c/FFMFamilyFeast. Ticket prices are set at $35 for adults, $15 for youth aged 5 to 10, and free for children under 5 years old. Attendees can also participate in a virtual silent auction featuring unique items and experiences, with proceeds supporting ongoing community initiatives.

Supporting Community Initiatives

The funds raised from the Family Feast will directly benefit Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s community outreach programs and youth education initiatives. These programs are designed to improve food access and health within the community. Among them are the 912 Food Farmacy and Farm Truck 912, both of which provide essential food resources to underserved populations in the area.

In an effort to engage local businesses, Forsyth Farmers’ Market is actively seeking sponsorships for the event. Interested businesses can contact the organization’s Executive Director, Debi Fowler, for more information regarding sponsorship opportunities and benefits.

Exciting Activities and Contests

This year’s Family Feast will feature a Market Dog Contest, allowing attendees to enter their furry companions for a chance to be featured on a Service Brewing beer can. This playful contest is just one way the event aims to foster community spirit and inclusiveness. Activities for children will also be part of the festivities, making the Family Feast an engaging experience for attendees of all ages.
