Savannah, Georgia – Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation has officially unveiled its latest super-midsize aircraft, the G300, during a special event titled “Discover the Difference” on September 30, 2025. This advancement marks the company’s efforts to enhance its aircraft range, as the G300 will replace the existing Gulfstream G280.
The G300 is designed with notable features, including Gulfstream’s iconic Panoramic Oval Windows and an all-new Harmony Flight Deck. The Harmony Flight Deck integrates next-generation avionics, which aims to boost both safety and operational efficiency for pilots. During the Savannah event, Gulfstream President Mark Burns presented a full-scale mock-up of the G300, showcasing its sophisticated design and advanced technology. Attendees were also shown photos of the first production aircraft.
The G300 is manufactured in Israel and is subsequently shipped to Dallas, Texas, for completion, before undergoing servicing in Savannah. The company has seen significant growth at its Savannah facility, expanding from about 100 employees in 1982 to nearly 15,000 currently. Moreover, Gulfstream has around 500 job openings in Savannah, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to meeting industry demand.
As the sixth aircraft Gulfstream has introduced in the last decade, the G300 is currently undergoing full flight testing, with its first flights expected around 2027. Enthusiasts and potential customers can already observe the G300 on the taxiways at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.
The G300 offers versatile interior options with three different floor plans accommodating 8, 9, or 10 passengers. In terms of performance, the aircraft boasts a trans-Atlantic range of 3,600 nautical miles (6,667 kilometers) at Mach 0.80 and 3,000 nautical miles (5,556 kilometers) at Mach 0.84. Its maximum cruise altitude reaches up to 45,000 feet (13,716 meters), and it provides the lowest cabin altitude in its class at 4,800 feet (1,463 meters) when flying at 41,000 feet (12,497 meters).
In addition to its spacious cabin layout featuring the longest cabin in its class and two living areas, the G300 comes equipped with a plasma ionization air purification system, ensuring 100% fresh air circulation. It also features ten Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows, maximizing natural light and providing outstanding views.
The Harmony Flight Deck further enhances the flight experience with six touch screens and Phase-of-Flight intelligence, allowing for intuitive control by pilots. It includes a Synthetic Vision-Primary Flight Display that offers 3D imagery of runways and terrain, improving situational awareness. The Predictive Landing Performance System provides real-time visuals for runway stopping points, contributing to safer landings.
Gulfstream’s investment in the G300 is a significant step in advancing their next-generation fleet, underscoring the company’s commitment to innovation in the aerospace industry. With the United States remaining the largest market for aircraft purchases, Gulfstream’s position in the sector continues to strengthen.
Construction has already commenced on additional test aircraft beyond the initial one. Gulfstream has recorded nearly 22,000 hours of testing within their advanced laboratory facilities, which includes close to 2,000 ground test hours on the first aircraft, showcasing their dedication to ensuring the G300 meets the highest standards of performance and safety.
