Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation has marked a significant milestone with the delivery of its 50th Gulfstream G700 aircraft. The G700 is known for its spacious cabin, innovative technology including a Symmetry Flight Deck, and superior performance metrics. Since April 2024, the aircraft has accumulated over 11,700 flight hours, showcasing its popularity among business aviation clients. The G700’s impressive features such as the ultragalley and advanced connectivity options enhance the flying experience. Currently showcased at the Bahrain International Airshow, the G700 continues to set benchmarks in luxury and performance.
Savannah – Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation announced the successful delivery of its 50th Gulfstream G700 aircraft, marking a significant milestone for the business aviation industry. This flagship aircraft was outfitted at Gulfstream’s Savannah completions center and has been in operational service since April 2024, showcasing its global performance capabilities.
The Gulfstream G700 fleet has collectively accumulated over 11,700 flight hours since its debut, reflecting robust demand and customer satisfaction, according to the company’s president. The G700 is lauded for offering the most spacious cabin in business aviation, allowing high levels of customization tailored to the needs of individual clients. Its innovative interior options feature high-speed internet connectivity and an ultrahigh-definition circadian lighting system, optimizing the in-flight experience.
Among its notable features is the industry’s only ultragalley and a grand suite that includes a fixed bed and shower facilities, enhancing comfort for passengers. The aircraft is also equipped with award-winning seat designs and the Gulfstream Cabin Experience, which ensures a cabin environment with 100% fresh air, ample natural light, and a low cabin altitude of 2,840 feet when flying at 41,000 feet.
The G700’s performance metrics are impressive as it has achieved more than 80 city-pair speed records to date. It is capable of flying 7,750 nautical miles at a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 and 6,650 nautical miles at Mach 0.90, with a maximum operating speed reaching Mach 0.935. Recent record-setting flights include a 4,090-nautical mile journey from Savannah to Honolulu completed in 8 hours and 52 minutes, as well as a 6,507-nautical mile flight from Los Angeles to Sydney in 14 hours and 26 minutes. These record flights are pending formal recognition by the U.S. National Aeronautic Association and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale.
Currently, the G700 is showcased at the Bahrain International Airshow, where it is displayed alongside the G500 model. Over 100 customer pilots have received training and achieved type ratings for the G700 at the FlightSafety International training center located in Savannah. An increase in the number of pilots trained is anticipated as more G700 deliveries are made going forward.
Technologically, the G700 boasts the innovative Symmetry Flight Deck, which incorporates advanced touchscreen technology that simplifies operations, reduces pilot workload, and improves flight start-up times. The flight deck features a Combined Vision System that integrates Enhanced Flight Vision and Synthetic Vision Systems, enhancing situational awareness for pilots.
The Gulfstream G700 has garnered certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), in addition to validations from nine other countries, reinforcing its standing in the global aviation market. All these features combined position the G700 as a premier choice in the business aviation segment, aligning with the demands of modern travelers.
