Celebrating Amazing Community Figures
This year’s luncheon is set to honor three truly remarkable individuals who have made a significant impact on our community:
- Dr. Otis S. Johnson: The former mayor of Savannah, a dedicated educator, and a passionate advocate for civil rights and social justice.
- Camille O’Neill: A cherished educator and community leader known for her heartfelt dedication to service and the love she shows to everyone around her.
- John A. White, Sr.: A celebrated World War II veteran, he was one of Savannah’s first African-American police officers and is recognized for his bravery and leadership during turbulent times.
This annual gala not only recognizes these extraordinary individuals but also expresses gratitude for their selfless contributions to society. It’s all about celebrating a life well-lived and serving as an inspiration for future generations!
