Skidaway Island, Georgia

Parker’s Kitchen successfully raised $530,000 for local schools during its recent golf tournament at The Landings on October 20, surpassing its original goal of $450,000 and exceeding last year’s record of $400,000.

The funds will support public and private schools across Georgia and South Carolina, contributing to their “Fueling the Community” program, which has raised over $3 million overall for educational institutions. Notably, in 2024 alone, Parker’s Kitchen donated $380,000 to schools, including approximately $100,000 to schools within Chatham County.

Support for Educational Initiatives

The donations from the tournament and the “Fueling the Community” program are utilized for various initiatives, including student scholarships and graduation support. High school students also participate in a voting process to select their favorite teachers, with the winning teachers receiving $1,000 to fund their projects. Additionally, teachers are encouraged to apply for grants to support their innovative educational ideas.

Roger Moss, the President of the SCCPSS Board of Education, acknowledged the essential role Parker’s plays in supporting local education, emphasizing the importance of their contributions.

Strong Community Involvement

The golf tournament attracted 288 golfers, who contributed to this notable achievement. Parker’s Kitchen invites community members to participate in its fundraising efforts year-round. Each month, a portion of the proceeds from gas sales on the first Wednesday is donated to the program, and customers have the option to designate specific schools for their contributions using a club card.

Future Expansion Plans

Parker’s Kitchen is in the process of expanding its operations, aiming to open 20 to 25 new convenience stores annually across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. The company intends to double its store count by 2027, with plans to add 75 new locations. The chain’s first venture into Florida includes a new site in Jacksonville.

Earlier this year, Parker’s Kitchen appointed Brandon Hofmann as CEO and promoted John Rudolfs to co-CEO. In addition to educational support, the company has pledged a $1 million donation to the Union Mission to develop a Resource Center aimed at assisting the homeless population in Savannah. This center will be located at 702 W. Oglethorpe Ave, with renovations scheduled to begin in September 2025 and an anticipated opening in Spring 2026.

Community Service with Impact

The Union Mission currently serves an average of 119 clients daily at its Day Center, which has provided support and meals for a total of 1,551 individuals. Parker’s Community Fund has been active in offering assistance, donating over $30 million to nonprofit organizations over the past eight years.

Overall, Parker’s Kitchen’s latest fundraising efforts highlight its commitment to supporting education and community service, with significant impacts being felt throughout local neighborhoods.
