The Georgia Department of Public Health recently wrapped up a week of inspections for eateries across Chatham County from February 19 to February 25, 2025. High Scorers Shine Bright!

Let’s kick things off with the stars of the week! Several restaurants aced their inspections, bringing home impressive scores that are sure to make any foodie feel good. Britannia British Pub in Savannah, located at 140 Johnny Mercer Blvd., Suite 4, leads the pack with a nearly perfect score of 99. Close on its heels is Domino’s Pizza, stationed at 1900 E. Victory Drive, which also shined with a score of 99 and is ready to serve up some piping hot slices without a worry!

Dunkin Donuts gets into the high-scoring game too, boasting two locations: one at 5921 Ogeechee Road and another at 103 Canal St. in Pooler, scoring 99 and 97, respectively. Whether you’re in the mood for coffee, donuts, or a quick bite, these spots got you covered!

Another notable mention is Kobe of Savannah, Inc. on 1040 King George Blvd., Suite 50, not far behind with a score of 97. It looks like the taste of Japan is safer than ever!

Watch Out for the Low Scores!

Embassy Suites located at 145 W Mulberry Blvd. scored a lowly 73, with notable concerns around managerial oversight and food handling. It’s certainly a wake-up call for them to step up their game!

Naan Appetit in Pooler also had a rough day, scoring 80 due to improper food storage practices. Meanwhile, the Thompson Savannah Hotel Rooftop Bar & Restaurant couldn’t escape scrutiny, landing a score of 82 thanks to issues like improper food stacking and temperature controls. Not quite the heavenly view you want with your meal!

And if you’re craving a meal at Texas Roadhouse on 23 W. Montgomery Crossroads, beware: it scored 82 too, with various violations including improperly stored drinks. Oops!
