Savannah is set to elevate its culinary landscape with the introduction of Hostess City Eats, a revamped version of the popular Restaurant Week, scheduled from January 26 to February 8, 2026. The event aims to enhance the dining experience in the city by incorporating new events and activities that celebrate Savannah’s vibrant food scene.

Since its inception in 2018, Eat It and Like It has been at the forefront of organizing Savannah’s Restaurant Week, which has seen tremendous success. The previous 2025 Restaurant Week boasted an unprecedented turnout, marking it as the biggest event in Savannah’s history based on digital traffic and the number of participants.

The kick-off event, “Eat It and Like It Live!”, will take place on January 26 at District Live, JW Marriott. This engaging panel discussion will feature local chefs who will share insights into the current state of Savannah’s food scene. Attendees will have the opportunity to savor various bites and drinks, prepared by the chefs, later at the Riverfront Ballroom at Plant Riverside District.

From January 28 to February 7, participants can take part in “Drink It and Like It’s Rooftop Hop,” where they can explore up to 10 participating rooftop venues over the course of 11 days, with exciting prizes for those who visit at least 7 rooftops. Additionally, the event will showcase the #fancyfishfry on February 1, where chefs will creatively reinvent traditional Southern fish fry dishes using local ingredients.

Attendees looking to take advantage of early opportunities can secure Early Bird pricing for the two main events until November 30. Other planned events include a benefit evening for First Responders and a surprise charity event designed to further engage the community.

Savannah’s Restaurant Week will remain as a staple, featuring a selection of participating restaurants that will offer special three-course meals priced between $30 and $65. Some notable restaurants involved in this culinary extravaganza include Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Desposito’s Seafood, and Emporium Kitchen.

In addition, partner hotels will extend special room rates that include meals at participating restaurants, enhancing the convenience for both locals and visitors. As a prelude to the event, the Junior League of Savannah will host a Restaurant Week kick-off happy hour on January 22, 2026, with proceeds going to support the League.

The aim of Restaurant Week has been to boost patronage in restaurants during the slower season and to showcase the local food scene. The success from the previous years indicates a significant rise in interest surrounding Savannah’s food culture, which has in turn led to the enhancement of the event into Hostess City Eats. In 2024, the Restaurant Week was initially set to conclude on February 2 but was extended to February 9 due to a winter storm, underscoring the resilience and adaptability of the event.

For those interested in learning more about the upcoming events, participating chefs, and menus for Restaurant Week, a dedicated website, hostesscityeats.com, will provide comprehensive details as the event dates approach.
