The new recruits include a mix of defensive specialists, setters, and hitters, showcasing a diverse set of skills that the coaching staff believes will enhance the team’s dynamics. Among the new additions is Ny’Kira Raby, a 5’3” freshman defensive specialist from Hinesville, Georgia. Raby completed her high school career at Bradwell Institute where she achieved an impressive milestone of 1,000 digs.

Nyalah Smith, a 6’1” freshman middle hitter/outside hitter from Evans, Georgia, also joins the team. Smith attended Lakeside High School, where her contributions helped her team secure two region titles. In her senior year, she played in 105 sets, recording notable statistics including 230 kills and 70 blocks.

Another addition is Aniyah Parks, a 5’10” freshman setter/opposite hitter from Jonesboro, Georgia. She earned all-region honors during her junior and senior years and wrapped up her last season with 66 digs and 62 kills. Mya McCall, measuring 5’5”, joins as a defensive specialist from Atlanta after receiving the Defensive Player of the Year award during her time at Westlake High School. In her senior season, McCall played 89 sets, achieving 99 digs and nine assists.

The roster also features Harmony Flagg, a 5’11” freshman opposite hitter from Miramar, Florida. Flagg played for South Plantation High School and had a strong performance last season, accumulating 130 digs and 103 kills. Talia Taylor, a 5’7” freshman opposite hitter/defensive specialist from Cumming, Georgia, contributed 17 kills and four blocks in 21 sets during her senior year at West Forsyth High School.

Natalie Vaughn, a 5’7” freshman setter from Pickerington, Ohio, also joins the team after winning the Panther Award for sportsmanship and the Coaches Award in her senior year. Her contributions included 19 blocks and 14 kills in 24 sets. Finally, the team has added Connelly Smith, a 6’0” junior middle hitter/outside hitter from Augusta, Georgia, who previously played for USC Salkehatchie and earned several accolades, including NJCAA Division I All-Region 10 Second Team honors.

The Lady Tigers volleyball team will begin their 2025 season with the annual Orange and Blue Scrimmage scheduled for September 1, 2025. They will follow this event with their first regular-season match against Middle Georgia State University on September 2, 2025. As they integrate their new players into the roster, the coaching staff is optimistic about the team’s abilities to compete effectively in the upcoming season.
